That’s great, but how does it work?
HALO® is distinctive from other cosmetic laser-assisted treatments, as it is the first and only hybrid fractional laser available to today’s savvy healthcare consumers. It is versatile, optimally treating a range of conditions with both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. Lasers that are “ablative” remove the outermost layer of skin, whereas non-ablative lasers do not remove tissue. However, they do heat up the deep layers of skin, triggering the production of more beneficial structural substances, such as collagen and elastin.
Just how versatile is HALO®?
HALO® may be appropriate for numerous signs of aging and sun/environmental damage. “Treatable” conditions include depressions like fine lines and wrinkles, irregularities such as surface scarring, visible pores, leathery texture, and hyperpigmentation (dark spots of areas of discoloration).
Is it safe for my skin type?
Yes! Due to the unique design of HALO® laser technology, treatment can be performed safely on all skin types and tones – including those patients who may not be candidates for other laser systems. For instance, alternative laser technologies may exclude patients with darker skin tones because these treatments pose a risk of hypopigmentation and lasting damage. HALO’s dual-wavelength technology can avoid these concerns.
What can I expect from treatment?
Our providers use topical anesthetic and cooling for utmost comfort. Treatment can be completed in around one[ML1] [H2] to two hour(s). Total time depends on factors such as the size of the area(s) to be treated. Because HALO® is such a low-risk, high-reward process, we can treat more quickly. It requires fewer and shorter treatment sessions to get dramatic results than with earlier-generation or more aggressive lasers and nonsurgical therapies. Plus, you don’t have to take time off of work or away from your favorite activities. This minimal- to no-downtime process fits in seamlessly with your active lifestyle and jam-packed schedule.
