Cellulaze: Say “So Long” to Cellulite.
85-90% of all women deal with cellulite and its causes link to many factors. Many of these factors are also out of our control. Dr. Ginsburg is happy to announce the reintroduction of Cellulaze to his practice.. Cellulaze was the first FDA-approved treatment for cellulite, brought to you by Cynosure, the inventor of Smart Lipo. With recent upgrades in technology and new techniques we can now offer you a long-lasting improvement in the appearance of Cellulite.
What is Cellulite?
Cellulite may sound like a medical condition, but it is really just regular fat that collects in pockets underneath the skin. It is easy to recognize Cellulite: dimpled skin, commonly described as a “cottage cheese look” that appears on your thighs and other parts of your body. Although many know that cellulite is fat, what most women don’t realize is that, although you can lessen the appearance, you cannot eliminate it like other fats through diet and exercise. Fat isn’t the problem at all, in fact. It’s a structural issue below the skin that only your physician can treat. It’s the reason why men don’t typically get cellulite (because they have a different skin structure), and also why some very thin women will get it, and some heavier women won’t.
What Causes Cellulite?
There are three structural problems that can cause cellulite. First of all, the connective tissue bands that are surrounding fat cells under your skin can harden and become tight and inflexible. Second, is pockets of fat that are trapped by these rigid bands can protrude into the lower layer of the skin and cause a worsening of the dimpling appearance. Thin skin can cause the appearance to worsen. Hormones, heredity features, weight, and aging all play a role in cellulite development. Because of this, treatments for cellulite must go beyond the fat and surface of the skin. Cellulaze does just that, it attacks the structure of cellulite for results that last.
How Do We Treat Cellulite?
There are many treatments that treat cellulite, such as creams lotions and pills. However, you have to use them consistently and they still do not fully rid your body of cellulite. They simply reduce the appearance. A healthy diet can help reduce the appearance, and proper underwear can help as well (tight underwear restricts blood flow and speeds up the development of cellulite). The only treatment that actually goes beyond reducing the appearance and lasts is Cellulaze.
How Does Cellulaze Work?
Cellulaze delivers laser energy below the skin. The laser melts the fat and the laser energy releases the connective tissue bands and promotes the growth of collagen. Increases in collagen have also been shown to improve skin thickness and elasticity. The treatment usually lasts about an hour to an hour and a half, and the results begin to show almost immediately, however, optimal results take about 3-6 months to show. The downtime from the procedure is moderate, so you’ll be able to go back to your normal activities after a day or two and resume more strenuous exercise after one to two weeks.
